One of a few native Californians. I wear flowers in my hair, eat granola nearly everyday and I'm a self-proclaimed knitting maven.
I live in Truckee. I've always felt at home in the mountains where I can get to some very tall peak and look out over everything. Of course a splash in an alpine lake at the end of the day is a huge bonus and likely why California will always be home.
This BLOG has always been named Killer Living. A play on the word "killer" where it actually means: awesome, great, totally rad man. OK, that's a little valley girl, but then again I did live in "the Valley" in southern California in the late 70's early 80's when the movie Valley Girl was released. I actually owned a book titled: Guide to Being a Valley Girl. Which is why I keep an extra pair of Dolphin shorts in my handbag...just in case. In case of what I still don't know, but I have the shorts.
I heard a country song: if you're going through hell, keep on going before the devil even knows your there. I've learned to keep my keeping on in a hurry and have circumvented the devil more than a few times. My ride through life has been up and down and around. I've hated life, loved life and everything inbetween. I think the only reason I'm not in the looney bin is I haven't been caught yet.
